This article is a detailed list of all the important laptops with small bezels available in stores these days. We’re constantly updating it and adding new units are they’re released.
By reducing the size of the bezels around the screens, manufacturers are able to create more compact notebooks, with an overall reduced footprint and increased screen-to-body ratio. At the same time, it’s more challenging to design such a computer, as the compact chassis translates into limited interior space for all the components, battery, and cooling, that’s why the list of truly bezel-less laptops has been rather exclusive over the last years, with only a handful of premium options.
This is changing more and more, though, and these days most laptops get fairly thin bezels, and the list of options ranges from thin and light 10-11 inch ultraportables all the way up to 17-inch performance notebooks.
However, some of these models are almost entirely bezel-less and some still get bigger chins underneath the display, that’s why in this article we’re gathering those ultra-compact options with the smallest of bezels, and tell you what to expect from each unit in terms of bezel size, screen-to-body ratio (abbreviated STB in the following lists), hardware specs, overall weight, and price.
We’ve also split the available options into a few categories: Ultraportables (classic clamshell thin-and-light ultrabook), Convertibles (2-in-1 laptop with a touchscreen), Multimedia (all-around notebook), and Gaming options (portable performance laptops with competent gaming abilities), and added links to our detailed articles and reviews for each model, where available.
How we calculate STB (Screen to Body Ratio)
For this article, we’re calculating real STB by dividing the screen’s overall area by the laptop’s overall footprint (width x height). That’s the Real STB column in the following tables.
That might not always be the most accurate representation for these modern laptops, as many designs hide the bottom part of the display’s chin behind the main chassis, giving the impression of smaller bezels than the Real STB number might otherwise suggest. Asus, Acer, Dell, or MSI are normally going with these sorts of designs, that’s why their advertised (and perceived) STB numbers differ from our real-life measurements, which is something to keep in mind going forward.
As a further heads-up, we’re only including recent-generation laptops in here with a measured Real Screen to Body Ratio (STB) of 80% or higher. That means there are also some older models out there that have been taken out of these lists, in order to keep them as succinct as possible.
This first section of the article covers the ultra-compact versions with screens up to 14-inch in diagonal, and in the next section, we’ll cover full-size options with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screens.

Please change the name of the Asus Swift 5 15 to Acer. The link is correct but the above is incorrect.

Maybe you can add these laptops also, three are from NEC Japan. Also three of them are laptops I could find under 13 inches with thin bezels. They are interesting because they provide some of the smallest form factors for laptops
Maybe the Xiaomi Mi Nb Air 12.5 2016 can be included but the bezels are a tad thick.
NEC LAVIE Note Mobile C-NM550GAL 11.6 inch
Dell Latitude 7285 12.3 inch 3:2
Huawei MateBook 13 i7 13.0 inch 3:2
NEC Lavie Note Mobile 12.5 inch
NEC LAVIE Direct HZ 13.3 inch

Thanks for the detailed list. Have you checked out laptops by Eluktronics. I found their MAG-15 laptop great. has a near-bezel-less screen

The STB for the LG gram notebooks cannot be right. They are known for having a very small border. The 17 inch laptop has a case diagonal of about 46 cm and a screen diagonal about 43 cm. That's 43 / 46 and makes 0.93 or 93% by my calculations.

There was a small mistake on the LG Gram 17, but the others are right as far as I can tell. Please look past the marketing materials. As explained in the article, we calculate the real STB by dividing the total screen area to the laptop's overall footprint. On the gram 17, the screen area is 838 square cm, while the footprint is 996 sq cm. This results in an 84% STB.

Where is Huawei Matebook 16 with AMD cpu ? It has 3:2 screen and 90% screen to body ratio. You completely ignored this laptop since appeared.
