Keys with different colors look bad. It is good more laptops are appearing with P3 color screens.

Hello, do you know if all the K6604JV models (in particular K6604JV-MX129X) can be upgraded to 64GO ?

Yeah, 32 GB sticks should work, but I haven't tried it. Unless they're somehow locked on the BIOS, but I don't think that's the case

thank you for your answer! ASUS tells me it is 32GB max, the vendor claims 64GB, and memory resellers tell me that 64GB is possible (even 96GB for one of them). On one ASUS document it is said 64GB but together with the 4070 graphic card which corresponds to a K6604JI :-(

I don't see why the JI would support 64 and the JV would not, unless, like I mentioned, there's a BIOS limitation. If this is a must for you, I'd make sure to buy the laptop and the RAM from stores that allow easy returns, just in case.

Thank you for your answer. I have just tried to upgrade to 64GB. The RAM is recognized, however BSOD keeps occuring and the memory seller ensures that it should work on a K6604JV-MX129X :-(

I love this display…not sure why people keep saying 400 nits isn't very bright. Almost every gaming laptop out there is 300-350 nits except Asus laptops with IPS, which are closer to 500. But the OLED peaks at closer to 600 in HDR mode while Strix and Zephyrus don't even support HDR. This display is top tier for brightness until you reach mini LED displays.

I have the lower end Vivibook Pro 16 with the i9-13900H processor and it has been overheating and shutting down under load. It is out for repair right now and while I was waiting, I bought another one to try…it does the same thing! I'm not sure the cooling is working correctly on these models. If they can't fix mine, I might try this 16x version and hope the cooling is better…

Follow up…they could not fix my laptop and I got another one…it had the same problem. I took it back and got an MSI Raider GE68HX instead. I give up on the slim laptops…they cannot cool properly.

Hello my friend. A second mini SSD slot can be seen on the mainboard. Is it possible to add an additional M2 SSD storage, if so what would be the maximum capacity for that ? Thanks for this detailed analysis.

I don't see a second NVME slot – there is a slot for the WiFi module – maybe that's what you're seeing? I have confirmed from other sources that there is no second NVME slot.

as Dale already mentioned, there's a single SSD on this motherboard, and that other M.2 slot is for the wifi chip

Thank you for detailed review. Would you recommend upgrade SSD (990pro or similar) + RAM (4800->5200->5600)?
