Lenovo, in my experience, has always been a high quality laptop. I've owned multiple X1s from the era gone by.

The keyboard travel and key spacing were always just right for my hands (15.6 inch display). The touchpad and the click-bars were absolutely great.

    Downside were the insane prices.

After a series of X1 Extreme models, about 2020 I dropped Lenovo and transitioned to nothing but Dell XPS and Precision Workstations. I get the same systems for $2500 to $4000 less than Lenovo's prices.

Just FYI, I've purchased multiple systems from Dell Outlet. I always call to purchase – and negotiate at least a 10% less price plus 1 year of additional support.

For Dell Workstations (e.g. 5480, 5490, etc) – I have a problem – I send in the device – they cannot fix it – Dell replaces the original system with a hand-selected Dell Outlet system that is better than the original.

Not been disappointed. And the user experience with the Precision Series 5 Workstations have been create. The key spacing, the travel, the feedback, the touchpad size is absolutely perfect.

For the price of a single Lenovo P1 with i7 1300H, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD – I was able to purchase a Dell XPS 13 9350 with i7, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, touch screen 500 nits AND a Precision Workstation 5480 with i7 13800H, 32 GB RAM, 512 SSD, and a great keyboard, touchpad and screen. I love them both.

I cannot justify Lenovo prices. I don't even both to search for deep discount sales any longer.
